Marble Granite Polishing
Polishing marble and granite is a delicate process that requires the use of specialized tools and techniques. The first step in polishing marble or granite is to clean the surface thoroughly. Once the surface is clean, a polishing compound is applied with a soft cloth or sponge. The polishing compound contains abrasive particles that will remove any remaining dirt or debris from the surface.
Next, a buffing pad is attached to a power drill or sander and moved over the surface in a circular motion. The buffing pad helps to evenly distribute the polishing compound over the surface. As the buffing pad moves over the surface, it will create heat and friction that will help to loosen any stubborn stains or scratches.
After the buffing pad has been moved over the entire surface, a final polishing compound is applied with a soft cloth. This final polishing step will help to give the marble or granite a glossy finish.
